  1. Hello this is Allan from abc tai chi, I will be looking forward to teaching you how to move the tai chi way over the summer holiday ! There will be movements called ” snake creeps down”, “golden rooster stands on one leg”, ” needle at sea bottom ” as well as ” cloud hands”. Let your imagination run wild when you are learning these and have fun, especially with tai chi walking. You will really be able to impress your friends with all these fun to learn techniques. They are all totally adaptable so that everyone will be able to learn and use them in their tai chi practise.
The great thing about tai chi is that you are allowed to use your imagination, just imagine what it must be like to ” grasp the sparrow tail “. That is a really beautiful tai chi movement, incidentally it is also a martial art move as well but please don’t go around trying to grasp any poor sparrow’s tail, after all it is only in your imagination.
Also the only time when you should be walking on ice is when you are practising tai chi walking, that is to say you are IMAGINING that you are walking on ice.
Just wait until we learn how to ” separate the clouds” that will really get your imagination running wild.
As you can see tai chi is all about using your mind and imagination to make it work, the more that you practise the more fun you will get out of it. Remember that tai chi is a very ancient martial art going back thousands of years to it’s beginning which has been lost in the mists of time. We are only just beginning to appreciate some of it’s health benefits which can be attained by all.
If you are into sports then tai chi will give you the edge by helping you with your concentration, if you love dancing then the flowing movements of tai chi will help you enjoy your dance even more. Practising tai chi is also good for your concentration as you have to learn to concentrate when performing tai chi so it will help you with your studies as well.
Tai chi has lots of other benefits as well, come along and discover them for yourself.
